Under normal circumstances, St. John’s follows Montgomery County Public Schools’ decision to open, close or delay school when the decision has been made BEFORE the beginning of the school day. Typically MCPS makes a decision between 4:30-5:00 am on the day of the cancellation or delay.
If school is delayed, students should report at 10:10 am and will be dismissed at 3:00 pm.
If a cancellation needs to be made during the school day OR Montgomery County Public Schools are not open on a day that St. John’s is in session, then St. John’s will make the decision to cancel or delay school.
The cancellation or delay is always posted on the school’s website, Facebook and Twitter and recorded on the answering service for the main school number (202-363-2316).
