St. John's Annual Tuition

The annual tuition for the 2017-2018 school year is $19,175. For students accepted into the Benilde Program, the annual tuition includes an additional $3,200, bringing the cost to $22,375. 

Tuition Registration

All families must sign up for an actively managed payment plan and complete their student’s enrollment agreement online for the 2017-2018 school year by April 3 through FACTS. Please click the FACTS link on the right side of this page to begin the process.

Methods of Payment

St. John's offers three plans for tuition payment. All payments will be electronically debited from a designated account through FACTS.
  • Full Tuition: The full tuition payment is due Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, through FACTS. Additional fees: FACTS fee $25
  • Two-Pay FACTS Plan: Payments will be electronically taken from a designated account on July 5, 10, 15 or 20 and Dec. 5, 10, 15 or 20, 2017. Additional fees: SJC pay plan fee $60, FACTS fee $25
  • 10-Pay FACTS Plan: Payments will be electronically taken from a designated account on the 5th, 10th, 15th or 20th of each month from July 2017 through April 2018. Additional fees: SJC pay plan fee $120, FACTS fee $55

St. John's Tuition Assistance

Need-based tuition assistance is available to families who qualify. Families wishing to be considered for tuition assistance must annually submit an application and supporting documentation.

  • For Incoming Freshmen

    For incoming freshmen, the two-page application is submitted directly to the Admissions Office, along with supporting documentation. If you have questions, please contact Admissions directly at 202-363-2316, ext. 1069.
  • For Families with Current SJC Students and New Incoming Students

    If you have a current/returning SJC student AND you also have a new incoming student applying as a freshman for 2017-2018, you must also submit the two-page application directly to the Admissions Office. If you have questions, contact Admissions directly at 202-363-2316, ext. 1069.
  • For Returning SJC Students

    Returning SJC families with only current, returning student(s) applying for need-based tuition assistance are required to submit an application and supporting documentation to FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment in Lincoln, NE. Please click the FACTS link on the right side of this page to continue the application process.

Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance

The Archdiocese of Washington Student Aid Form (TADS) is available at www.adw.org. Please read the instructions carefully and mail your completed Archdiocesan Application by the indicated deadline.

Scholarship Information

  • Presidential Scholarships $16,000 ($4,000/year for four consecutive years)

    Awarded to the highest-caliber students who demonstrate scholastic aptitude, score in the top percentile on the HSPT, display outstanding academic performance and show a commitment to extracurricular involvement. Recipients are enrolled in the De La Salle Scholars Program for four years.
  • Principal Scholarships $8,000 – $12,000 ($2,000 – $3,000/year for four consecutive years)

    Awarded to the highest-caliber students who demonstrate scholastic aptitude, outstanding academic performance and a commitment to extracurricular involvement. Recipients are enrolled in the De La Salle Scholars Program for four years.
  • Music Scholarships $2,000 – $6,000 ($500 – $1,500/year for four consecutive years)

    Music scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate notable achievement in instrumental (woodwind, brass, percussion and string) and vocal music. Scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $500 – $1,500 per year, depending on a student’s audition. Auditions will be held in February. Use the links on the right side of this page to schedule your audition and download the required solo piece. Auditions must be scheduled by Jan. 13, 2017. 
  • Fine Arts Scholarships $2,000 – $6,000 ($500 – $1,500/year for four consecutive years)

    Fine arts scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate notable achievement in art. Scholarships are awarded in the amounts of $500 - $1,500 per year, depending on a student’s portfolio. Portfolios should be submitted to the Admissions Office by December 9, 2016. Portfolio submissions should not be original pieces. Applicants should photograph at least six pieces of work and submit those photographs on a CD. Portfolios will not be returned.
All families must register with FACTS. (Existing contracts will not be renewed automatically.)
