Blérancourt and Normandy - April 5

We started off our day visiting the Franco-American War museum in Blérancourt. There we were able to see many pieces of art and memorabilia from World War I and World War II. After that, we went to the Château at Pierrefonds.
The château was originally started in the 14th century by the Duc d’Orléans. We all had a great time learning about the château and its history! Plus, for many of the group it was their first time to visit a real château. It was a little chilly, but we all had a great time!

Next, we headed up to the Normandy region, where we were staying for the night. We stayed at a beautiful country farm and we had the place all to ourselves. We got to experience some local cuisine from our gracious hosts, and there were also some intense games of ping pong.

Today we plan to visit the Normandy region and Omaha Beach. We are learning so much and can’t believe our trip will soon be over.
