On our last full day in Costa Rica, we made our way to San Jose with a couple of stops.
We were able to stop and tour an ox cart factory, where we also enjoyed lunch. The ox carts at the factory were very colorful and hand-painted. After lunch, we toured a coffee plantation, where we learned about the coffee production process from seeding the plant through to roasting the beans. We were able to see un-roasted coffee beans and then taste the coffee afterwards.
Our tour director, Diego, also helped arrange an opportunity for us to see the FIFA World Cup, which was on display in the National Stadium in San Jose. Afterward, we enjoyed a folklore evening where we saw traditional dancers and were able to learn some dancing as well.
